Our thoughts and prayers go out to Rich’s family. We also share in his loss. May the great memories of 58 years bring peace and rest to all. He is not gone but watches over each of you now in heaven above. May the following words also help in some small way to know that God did take the BEST!
“God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered “Come to Me.” With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.”

I’m so sorry knowing that Rich passed, and certainly want to express my very deepest sorrow to Ben, Brandon, Sharon, Karon, Dan, Margaret, Dick, and Deb. Rich was such a great guy and too young to pass away. I have some fond memories of Rich back when he and Vicki and the boys were young and more of before they were married and were just dating. Those I’ll remember forever. He was truly a good friend to all who knew him. I know he is with God now, out of pain and definitely in a better place.

Very shocked and saddened to learn of Richard’s death. He was a classmate in High School and an old neighbor from long ago on Tilden in Brownsburg. We always called him “Dicky” Smith when we were very young….such a funny and kind hearted guy. My sincere condolences to his entire family!

Rich was a one of a kind guy. I can’t remember a time in my life when I didn’t know him. He was a neighbor on Tilden ( I am the other Julie Wilson…yes there were 2 of us on the street!) I lost my two front teeth playing tag with Rich when I was in 5th grade and we remained friends all through high school and beyond. It was a pleasure to have in my childhood Richie…see you over the rainbow my friend.

My condolences to Rich’s family and all who love him. I knew him only as a teenager, but even then he had a special light. You all are in my prayers.
